Across Da Wada Artist Residency

 —  —

Belize, Dangriga

A Responsible ARTistry Initiative "Da Gullah Geechee Land & Water Resilience Tour" is the Health & Wellness aspect of our work as Culture Keepers that allows us to use our artistry to inform, boldly impact, uplift and heal internationally throughout the diaspora with music, literacy and visuals that showcase the importance of our history, culture, land, waterways and food. Through art we open up conversations about climate change, theft of our land and how getting back to our roots is a vital part of the solution. We invite and collaborate with artists and organizations who are in alignment with our vision and our mission. We have a few announcements under this initiative: -Culture Keepers Concert Series -Culture Keepers Music Festival -Across Da Wada Artists-in-Residence for Afro-Indigenous Gullah Geechee Musicians -International Trip to BELIZE Jan 2024 in partnership with A Dream Come True Missions

Black Moses Freedom Festival

(EDT, UTC-04) (EDT, UTC-04)

Beaufort County Black Chamber of County, 711 Bladen Street, Beaufort, South Carolina

The Black Moses Freedom Festival has been curated as a Heritage, Health, and Wellness Festival celebrating the Spirit, Ingenuity, and Liberation of African Americans and people of color around the globe. Keeping the spirit of Harriet Tubman alive in Beaufort County is of utmost importance because of the hundreds of enslaved captives freed by her hands. She freed over 750, right here in our Beautiful Beaufort County. As a community we should be educated about this proud history, and Harriet ‘Araminta’ Tubman should be celebrated as one of our local and personal heroes. No other State, City, or County can boast such a significant victory as one of the most famous successful missions of her legacy. Now we come together to learn how to maintain our Freedom through Health, Wealth, and Art.
