International Women in Conservation Summit 2024

It is truly an honor to authentically live and operate as my whole SELF and do the things that mean the most to me. #IWIC2024

I saw my Mama be an entrepreneur and advocate within her community and I’m truly inspired by that.

As an Artist, I write, sing and create spaces that honor our land, water, nature and ancestors. 💙🤎💚

As a student who was in the Gifted & Talented Class, I remember getting an award for the best CONSERVATION essay at Spring Hill Elementary, a school that is now invisible in History. There is no record that it ever existed but I am living proof that it did.

40+ years later, excited to present at this year’s
International Women in Conservation Carribbean Summit in Belize City, Belize. 🇧🇿

I’ll be representing Responsible ARTistry, Inc. and Responsible ARTistry Studios highlighting our Land and Water Protection Initiatives using the Arts, specifically Music, Visual Arts, Poetry and Photography.

Creativity and Storytelling are an important piece of our nonprofit’s stewardship portfolio.

I can't wait to introduce our work and the advantages of the Arts in Conservation to our youth in the Gullah/Geechee Community.

• Joy
• Liberation
• Local & Global Connection
• Understanding their importance to their Community
• Staying in their Community to Live, Work & Play
• Understanding an Artists Duty

Grateful to Sea of Life Caribbean for this amazing opportunity.
